About Me
Hi! I’m Jeri.
I help creative event professionals build their business on their terms. I’m thrilled you’re here!
I wear many hats – from being an entrepreneur and business growth strategist to a floral designer, event pro, wedding planning educator, and even an author. It all started when I landed my first gig at a flower shop at the ripe age of 16. As I immersed myself in the world of petals, my love for flowers bloomed (pun intended) and so did my joy in making customers smile. Fast forward through college and a series of flower shops . . . in 1994, I took the plunge and established Jeri Solomon Floral Design—a boutique event studio dedicated to gorgeous flowers, impeccable design and exceptional customer service.
My journey kicked off with a passion for the art of flowers, but over time, I discovered a whole new love for the art of business. Through thick and thin – from weathering economic storms to navigating the challenges of a pre-digital age and even a global pandemic – I’ve been riding the wave of reinvention to keep my business fresh, successful, and, of course, profitable.
Colleagues often reach out, tapping into my knack for revision and my impressive industry longevity. My superpower? Nailing the right questions and taking small steps to create big, beautiful pictures—a talent I bring to my clients.
In my extensive event industry career, I proudly wear the badge of a founding member of the Boston Wedding Group. For a whopping 25+ years. I’ve taken on roles like president, vice president, secretary, and web chair.
But wait, there’s more. I’m not just a floral guru and business whiz – I’m also one-half of the brains behind Real Deal Wedding Insiders® That’s right, I co-founded this awesome wedding planning education platform. Because let’s face it – couples need the inside scoop from industry experts like us. We spill the tea on how to build a rock-solid foundation for couples’ wedding planning journey without losing their marbles along the way. It’s a game-changer! We even wrote the Guide to Smart Wedding Planning. You can find it on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or order from any book store.
Outside of business, my world centers on my incredibly supportive and funny husband, Jim, my smart and handsome son, Jason, and my not-so-genius but dapper tuxedo cat, Hiro. I love my perennial garden and any kind of chocolate. What’s my secret to staying sane amidst the chaos of business and everyday life? Yoga. I’m a certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200) and my 20+ years of practice helps me with balance, breath and the beginner’s mind.
The event industry is a wild ride, and I'm here to help you build a business that fits your life, thrills your clients, and showcases your beautiful work. Ready to dive in together? Let's make this journey epic—I'm right here with you.

I cannot stress enough how much of a lifeline Jeri has been for my business. From the moment we started working together, it was evident that she was born for this role. Not only is she an exceptional listener, but she goes the extra mile - conducting thorough research and meticulously crossing 't's and dotting 'i's before offering guidance.
What sets her apart is the quality of her advice. It's rock-solid, and she understand that different situations call for different approaches. Unlike most who simply offer their opinion, Jeri meticulously considers all sides of the issue, providing a range of options. She’s like a Rubik's Cube solver, unraveling complex challenges with finesse.

From the moment I met Jeri it was evident that she commanded respect within the event industry. Over the years, as we became colleagues, I came to recognize Jeri as the unwavering voice of reason. She's not just a gifted designer; she's the reliable source of sound counsel, consistently level-headed and rational.
In our field, Jeri is the go-to person when you need dependable advice. She's the one who always has the answers. In fact, we've coined the phrase ‘What Would Jeri Do?’ Her natural leadership shines through, and she assists others in a considerate and purposeful manner, always keeping the ultimate goal in mind and not swayed by external distractions.
Regardless of where you are in your career, having a bit of Jeri in your life is always beneficial. As seasoned professionals, we still rely on her guidance. Jeri is the anchor that keeps us steady and on course.

Jeri is wonderful! I reached out to her when I first started my floral business and began freelancing for her when she needed an extra set of hands. Not only is she someone I look up to, she is a mentor to me. Having worked with her at numerous weddings, she has not only helped me with the design aspects and the logistics behind being a wedding florist, she has brought great knowledge to me about the business side. Being in business for as long as she has and knowing all of the ins and outs of the floral wedding industry, it is no wonder she is as successful as she is! It has been an honor to have such a great and knowledgeable person in my corner and I cannot wait for what our future business relationship has in store!
